Basic Principles
The Anti-Imperialist Front adheres to the following basic principles:
1. The masses make history. Nothing in history has been accomplished without the participation of the broad masses of people. Therefore, we must mobilize, organize, and politicize the masses in order to achieve revolutionary change in the world. Our mass work is always carried out in the center of the class struggle and not at its margins
2. It is right to rebel. Wherever there is oppression and exploitation, there is struggle. We must push beyond what is acceptable and permissible in the current order, and we never condemn the righteous actions of the masses against their oppressors.
3. It is necessary to struggle against opportunism in the anti-imperialist movement. We oppose the sell-outs, capitulators, and careerists who try to contain the people’s struggles and carry it down the path of electioneering, passivity, and reformism. The struggle against opportunism is waged by going to the deepest and most oppressed masses and mobilizing them for revolutionary struggle.
4. We rely on our own forces. We do not count on the goodwill of the ruling class and oppressors. We recognize that the state is not a neutral mediator in the class struggle, but rather, is a weapon of class rule by the imperialists. All the material support for our work must come from the people.
5. The struggle for daily demands of the people must serve the struggle for power. With each economic and political crisis, the ruling class erodes what the people have achieved through struggle. It is necessary to defend the rights and daily demands of the people and to direct this struggle towards ending the crises of imperialism altogether. Only the seizure of power through working class revolution can truly guarantee the rights and demands of the people.
